*is silently sitting in his quarters, a padd tucked up on his lap being ignored*

*presses the chime outside the door* *he knows Jim's in there*

[kirktastic]

*eyes the door, then sighs* Come in.

[dctr_mccoy]

*walks in, drops his medical bag by the door as he walks toward Jim* Hey.

[kirktastic]

...Hey. *offers that normal warm smile*

[dctr_mccoy]

Jim- *hesitates, and dear god why doesn't he have anything to drink in his hand?* The things we saw, the images that he was putting in our minds, those are- it's like a bond that's been formed. Not the one he needs, not quite, but... there's something there, and it's not just you.

*sitting up, his voice dropped* I need you to not be alone with him. I'm not playing jealous boyfriend here, I'm saying this as your CMO, trying to warn his Captain of potential dangers onboard the ship. We have to talk to his Jim and his Bones before anything like that is tried again. Okay? *catches his eyes* Will you do that for me?

[kirktastic]

*silence, a long silence, before a slight nod* ...I'll talk to them first thing in the morning. I'm going to make sure they listen to me, that they do this. He loves them... I could feel it in his head. Can they really be THAT blind? Would they take a shot for him but won't do this?

*just looks... worried. Protective as always of crew or friends*

[dctr_mccoy]

I want to be there when you do.

*waits a moment, remembering his conversation with Spock regarding his friends* He won't ask them. He thinks they'll say yes, so he won't ask them.

[kirktastic]

*gives Bones a long look as its obvious Bones has been talking to Spock a great deal to learn that information* Then that's a very easy answer. We go and tell them ourselves and force the issue on him without him knowing.

*slowly walks over and sits beside Bones*
