(OOC: Thanks for the link. By the way, but does Kirk know that the ship is sentient? I know Scotty knows, because I found where she showed himself to her.)
Oh, those. There's been a little snag. Wee little snag, really. I must have dropped a decimal point somewhere when drawing up the blueprints, because as far as I can tell, the calculations are correct. Eh, it's likely just a small Auxiliary phase disturbance in the Magnetic Wavefront Continuum, likely caused by Auxiliary E-M distortion in power drainage from the generators' electric muon protocol system. Should be fixed by tomorrow-next week, but I suggest staying far away Klingon Warbirds.
(OOC: Oh, Kirk sure as heck knows. He's been the one talking to her along with Scotty before she was even sentient. XD Also, he was the first (I think?) she showed her hologram to. We generally end up linking all around in posts so we can all keep track of stuff.)
...Scotty, are you telling me the shields aren't at ALL functional? Or just the modifications?
Capt'n, It's not that the shields aren't at ALL working. It's more of a case of the tweaking of the polarized imbalance collider has cause them to sometimes fail under undue stress because of the modifications. Modifications this huge tend to break even more things than you think... But. Don't do something that oozes stupid for a couple of days, maybe three weeks at most?
That and even when this stuff is fixed, I suggest through tests of the shields to make sure they are actually working according to plan. It's the shiiieeelds, you know.
Also, it's about the Enterprise. Shouldn't she have a say in this you know?
This is unacceptable. Damn, we'll have to hold off on any modifications until Nero is dealt with unless you can make it so that all shields are prepared at any moment. I won't have the ship in possible danger with the Narada still out there.
Of course we'd be testing the shields. We aren't that far from proper Federation space, we can have some real testing done by the Fleet.
As far as the Enterprise... we can have a talk with her. I don't normally think they teach Captains how to handle ships that can argue about modifications. I think anything that will help protect us she'll be all good for, but we can ask.

There's another issue I have, but that's... Well.
