Kirk slipped into the bar, glancing around the cool interior, and grinned to himself.
Off to have a drink with a woman that could potentially be baiting to kill him. Seemed to be the story of his life. Kirk took a seat up at the bar, and kept his eyes peeled for the beautiful woman from another universe.
She nods at Kirk in greeting. "Good afternoon, Captain."

"Okay, Jim," she accepts with a smile, letting him take her hand. He's got incredible hands, really. It's no wonder she'd forgotten to mention this the last time she saw him, what with him holding her hand like that...
"I wouldn't let anyone pick me up, not when I've an appointment with my Captain to keep," she tells him.

He's asked her a question, she realizes somewhat dazedly. Right. The reason she came here... "I think a more private venue would be appropriate," she says.

Speaking of which...she reminds herself of the reason she came here. "Jim." She lowers her voice and leans toward him. "I need to ask you about the other man who was in the brig. Is that Captain Christopher Pike?"

But her next words made his grin drop. His eyes narrowed, his fingers tightened on the bottle he held. He gave a terse nod, "...It is. He if off limits to everyone." That threw up his defenses again. She had asked about the fucker so quickly.

She takes a shaky breath. Even talking abut him unnerves her. "And if that's your own Pike you've got up there, then our two universe perhaps aren't so different after all."

She considers his words, her drink forgotten. "Pike accomplished great things. Terrible, but great. I can only imagine what he's capable of, with a good heart."
