Mission 1 [Arrival] (Forward-dated to after event end)
[Kirk is surprised when, instead of the surface of Ferras II, he is instead greeted with a view of a colonial-style bedroom. He immediately glances around, finds his away team lacking, as well as his phaser, and flips open his communicator, hitting the transmit button.]
Kirk to Enterprise. Come in, Enterprise.
[The communicator transmits nothing but static. He frowns, fiddling with some dials, and tries transmitting again, to no avail. Slipping the communicator into his pocket for now, he cautiously steps forward, examining the room.
About ten minutes later, his search has turned up nothing useful, save another strange communication device and what looks like a card key. Kirk sits down to examine the communication device, flipping it this way and that and trying to pry its parts open to no avail, at which point he actually starts fiddling with buttons and modes, trying to see how it works.
Once he's satisfied he's got it pretty much figured out, he presses the transmission button.]

This is Captain James T. Kirk of the Federation vessel Enterprise. I don't know who you people are, or why you've taken me and my away team from the surface of Ferras II, but its of critical importance that we be returned.
My ship [and doesn't it feel good to say that] and crew will know I've gone missing soon enough, and believe me, you don't want them pulling out the big guns to find us.
I politely request that you respond to my questions.
[And he ends the transmission, waiting for a response.]
