We, the slashers, are really funny people. Funny as in 'odd', not 'telling good jokes'.
We, the slashers, don't really care for two guys screwing, what really turns us on is when those said guys look at each other that way.
We, the slashers, search for hints and clues, and see a heated romance where a regular, sane person sees two guys saying casual 'hi' to each other.
You know what is, in my opinion, the slashiest scene on Red Dwarf? No, not The Kiss! When in the first series Lister wonders where the hell he'd take two babies from if there were no women on-board and then he gets That Look, frowns, turns around and looks at Rimmer.
In HGTTG the movie? When Zaphod calls Arthur 'Arthur' at the end. Beats even the PJ porn!
What I think is the slashiest thing on Spiderman ever? No, not the xenophilic porn, when Venom tries to tentacle rape Peter, no, it's 3 issues later when Eddie is dying in Peter's arms and Peter is so goddamn gentle with him. His worst enemy! Even if he's wearing a mask, you just know what look he has to have on his face and it's not even remotely his fault that Eddie kicked the bucket.
JLU? The ending of The Ties That Bind, J'onn smiled at Wally in such warm, tender way at the end...
What brought this emo!rant? In Young Avengers Billy and Teddy are an established, loving, cute, teenager, GAY couple. So what do slashers do? Squeal how cute they are... and write fics about Tommy and Eli. Because yeah, Eli looked at Tommy in issue 9, haven't you seen it?!
