Apple tablet release live blogging!
Go here - Tablet release liveblog for a liveblog from inside SF's Yerba Buena Center where Steve Jobs is, even as i write this, introducing and launching the iPad - Apple's long-awaited tablet. It looks gorgeous and, knowing Apple, a joy to operate. Here's hoping it makes it to India soon. Yum yum!
Edit ( 11.45 am IST): As the show progresses, I can't help but feel a wee bit jealous that the blogger is watching all this, live. Arrgh! The iPad looks like it can do everything the iPod Touch can, albeit at a much higher resolution and over a much more comfy-for-the-eyes surface. Maybe this will revolutionize newspapers as we know them - the apps to read papers and the actual papers themselves look gorgeous on the iPad.
Edit #2 (12.30 am IST): And the innovations don't seem to stop. iPad is not only entering the tablet marketplace( admittedly a lackluster and "dead" one) but its als posiitoning itself, via the iBooks store and ereader, as a direct competitor to Amazon's Kindle. Apple seems to be taking on every ndustry heavyweight in sight. :)
