Another Improbably Timed Post (lj post, public)

This was one of my favorite songs I played back in high school. We didn't quite sound this good of course. This kind of music is why I stayed with the clarinet, all through high school. It was the orchestra's music during Junior year. Hearing it...it still makes me smile. There's...really nothing like being in the middle of the orchestra, with the music buffeting you from all sides.

It's called Jupiter, Bringer of Jollity, by Gustav Holst.

Do you remember how stressed I was leading up to the concert Winnie? I think this was the most challenging piece I ever played all seven and a half minutes. And yes, for those of you who didn't know, I played clarinet. I was second chair that year. My clarinet is probably still up in the attic, back home.
