Heh. I'm pretty sure the last time she said something unsolicited in support of me he told her it was between him and me - basically telling her to mind her own business. But you are probably kidding since I'm pretty sure 33 year old women should be capable of sorting out their work issues without mommy helping :)

TOTALLY joking. :-)
He was (probably) right then, and would be right now to say the same thing. It's a work issue, not a family issue.
You could just say that you feel underappreciated there. You were promised a wage review after 6 months, you know that Bob and Jim are making $X more than you, you have to work harder than some others because you're the boss' daughter, and you don't feel that you're being treated fairly. Don't make the ultimatum you would elsewhere because you don't want to follow through on it. Maybe tell him that you can totally see yourself running this company one day, and you like having that stability etc, but you feel like you're getting fucked cuz you're family.

Ya, that is pretty much the conversation I feel like I need to have at this point. Just have to get up the guts to do it. I'ts a bit harder to find the right time in this situation for some reason. I wish I could separate myself from the emotionality of it as easily as I could with a non-family boss.
