So it is a good thing that surprise party was a great one, because calling in sick the next day cost me my job.
I know, who the hell hasn't done that? And my boss said exactly that. But apparently not apologizing the next day I was in was the real problem.
Super weirdos. It has been a bit hard to fit in with everyone there since it is such a tight group, but I really loved that job.
At least my boss is willing to give me a good reference. He said I was great at it, and that I did a good job while I was there, but that he didn't think I was "hungry enough for it".... Hm.
I guess I am a little harder to read than I thought, because I was enjoying myself there more than I have at a job in a long time.
Surprised and confused.
BUT, every time something crazy happens like this, good things happen for me and Saby. Change is hard, but for me it has been consistently good.
So I feel hurt, but positive. It'll be all good.
