for those who didn't know
I posted this on my facebook fan page today:
Dear Fans,
I'm writing to you from Italy where my husband Tony and I are visiting family. As some of you may know, I was recently married in October of last year. Tony and I love traveling and have decided that we want to try teaching English overseas for a couple years before coming back to the States and starting a family. So, after we're done in Italy, we're heading to Germany to visit some friends before taking our certification course in Madrid, Spain for one month. Then it's off to whatever country will hire us. I'm praying it's Japan!
So, you're hopefully thinking, "That's great! How exciting!" But, I'm sure you're also wondering what this all means for me and the world of voice acting and directing. Basically, it means I'm taking a break for a while. Don't worry, I'm still Winry! There's not too much left for me to record on Brotherhood, and it can all get timed up with visits home to Texas. Directing will also have to be on hold. It has been an amazing six years that I wouldn't trade for anything, and I hope I can jump right back in whenever we return for good.
As far as conventions go, I've had to turn down many this year already, simply because I just don't know where I will be in two months! What will my time off be like? Will conventions be willing or able to fly me in from around the world? Who knows! I'd like to still be able to go to conventions, but I realize that I certainly can't do the dozen or so per year that I'm accustomed to attending. So, we'll see.
Bittersweet news, and hard for me to write! I made a small announcement about this at Ikkicon earlier this year, but thought it was time to break it everyone else as well. Thank you all so much for your love and support! Please keep watching my shows and visiting this page. I love hearing from all of you!
