Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Money is a touchy subject with people in the church, but all I know is this: God actually encourages us to test Him! To try Him and see. It's hard to give at Christmastime. Just this past Sunday I thought about not tithing as I remembered all the people I still needed to buy gifts for. But God is faithful, I told myself. Now it's Tuesday and my list has shortened a bit (thanks to some things I found on sale), but the biggest blessing is this- I got a raise yesterday! Just out of nowhere! Thanks Mike! Thanks God! :-)
