OK, ladies and gentlemen. The past tense form of the word cast is also CAST.

Not CASTED! FOR THE LOVE OF PETE!!!

Rant over.

(Comment below secretly filled with numerous pet peaves)

I hate "casted", too! One time I heard someone say it, I got so mad that I went to the ATM machine, put in my PIN number to get some money, went to the store and asked them what kind of Cokes that they had because I wanted a Sprite Zero, bought one, made a Xerox copy of the receipt, got a paper cut from the copy so I put a Band Aid on it, and then I started crying from the cut so I asked for some Kleenex to wipe away the tears. Now I'm fixing to go to sleep. I'd rather eat glass then to ever have to go through all that again...

(Hehehe... see how many you can find...)

Here you go:

(Not really counting "casted", as it was already pointed out, but either way...)
1. ATM Machine - The "M" in ATM stands for "Machine", as in Automated Teller Machine. It's like saying "I'm going to the Automated Teller Machine Machine".
2. PIN Number - same as ATM. You don't put in your "Personal Identification Number Number".
3. "Coke" does not encompass all soft drinks or sodas. It is one brand. And although Spite Zero is made by the Coca-Cola company, it is not a form of Coke.
4. "Xerox" is also a brand. It does not encompass all photocopying.
5. "Band Aid" is also a brand. It does not encompass all adhesive bandages.
6. "Kleenex" is a also a brand. It does not encompass all facial tissue.
7. "Fixing" is not a substitute for "preparing to".
8. It should be THAN instead of THEN in the last sentence. I see that mistake so many times everyday...

Did I miss one of my own (heh)?
