soooo my undereye circles are back! welcome, inky and splotch, son of spot!
/crazy. maybe
So I spent most of last week on the train doing important things (read: sleeping) instead of reading.
But I did read...some.
At Swim Two Birds: because I am a metafiction addict apparently. Still funny even if you have to think really really hard about it. I knew it was probably a sign when the comments were '"it's funny"--James Joyce.' Why I didn't run screaming I'll never know.
The Remains of the Day: Officially my favorite novel by Ishiguro. Why? Because it's about a butler in the English countryside. I'm easy. ...I still have to read A Pale View of Hills, though; so maybe my favorite work by him will change?
The Unconsoled: Also by Ishiguro, this one is more surreal. It actually kind of reminds me of the movie Mulholland Drive, in the way that nothing seems to make sense till the end.
see ya...
