recap

So, just to further prove that I have not been hiding out under a rock for the past few weeks (which hey, actually could be interesting), as my journal would otherwise drive you to assume, here are snippets of my life.

On Senior Trip
tjalorak is a violent sleeper. This is somewhat amusing. Late into the night, tjalorak was still able to inflict damage on prismastar9 when it was suggested tjalorak move, despite being thoroughly asleep. And she'd continue being completely asleep through all the sort of thrashing she did, it honestly looked like she was involved in a fight to the death with the mattress.

Pedalboats are fun. Especially when your boat makes a sound so vile when it squeaks that the boat rental attendant is waiting for you when you get back with a spray can of oil to GET RID OF THE INFERNAL SQUEAKING. I kid you not. He was waiting on the dock, shaking that can diligently and as soon as we got close enough, he jumped onto our boat and attacked the pedals with the spray as if the hellhounds of Hades were close behind him and getting rid of the squeaking was the only way to save his life. And still the squeaking didn't go away; the look on his face as we pedaled away was tragic. Also, as a point of safety, always know where the bigger boats are. This is important.

What bonfire?

On Graduation
I don't think I was completely there for graduation. Put on robe, wondered how to keep silly hat on head while walking, and waited until the last minute for shoes. After it was over, someone's mom congratulated me and I asked them "What for?" Then I actually had to think about it while she obviously wondered what was wrong with me.

On Leaving School and Everybody
Of course this is sad. And I know that is was really sad because I reread all the L.M. Montgomery that I own and nearly cried when all the minor characters died. Seriously, I'm going to miss people because it's weird to all of a sudden not have people be there even if you haven't spoken to them in four, and in some cases, six years.

On Fanime
This is possibly one of the reasons it doesn't feel too weird yet to be out of school. I saw lots of the sophomores, and as people I see a lot of, that was really grounding. And it was really really nice to know that they had homework they were supposed to be doing but I hadn't any. Also, did more events this year, but didn't buy a single solitary thing. Funny how things turn out.

On Birthday
Actually, I forgot about this until the day before my birthday. I remember other people's though?
