No, they're considered a different species. They look like tigers but they aren't actually tigers. They're pretty smart and they can fly. They're pretty hard to tame, too.

I'm definitely no warrior. I'm a pacifist. Tora was trained by someone else, not me. Not just ruled by a king, I serve him. Shouryuu is the king I chose for the kingdom and now serve.
