Someone on a forum was complaining recently about how a lot of franchise games released for the Nintendo DS end up with titles of the form "FranchiseName: D-something S-something". I actually don't mind this at all, since it makes it easy to remember which game is on which platform. And at least by coming up with words they get to be a little creative. Remember how many Nintendo 64 games were just "Foo 64"? And all the "Foo Advanced" games on GBA? And let's not forget the venerable avalanche of "Super" games back on the SNES. Though, the real creativity bonus points are reserved for developers who coming up with something more imaginative than just "Dual" or "Double" for the D word.
Anyway, since I always give in to curiosity and geeks like lists, here's
a list. (I put question marks by the ones where I'm not 100% sure it was intentional, though it probably is.)
