Turtles Have Short Legs
Productive day so far.
This morning I took akiko to the airport for her flight to Berlin for her month-long language intensive. She's made it to JFK already, so so far so good.
I went from there into town for Free Comic Book day at Chapel Hill Comics. Got lots of free comics plus my GN pulls (new Yotsuba&!, yay!) and failed to resist a new book illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano called Shinjuku. Looks nifty.
Then had a huge lunch at Med Deli, popped over to Carrboro, picked up some biking gloves like the ones anacoluthon recommended from a bike shop, and got enough groceries at Weaver Street to probably last me a week and a half. Also, they had a bottle of the incredibly delicious Cassis Lambic, though oh man is it expensive.
Home now. Need to mow the lawn sometime this weekend, but it's hot and I'm tired. Of course, it's supposed to be hotter tomorrow. Maybe I can get out in the morning.... maybe.
Oh, and I already posted this elsewhere, but as I'm living by myself for the next month, my schedule is incredibly flexible. If anybody wants company for anything, let me know. I'll be wanting to get myself out of the house periodically.
