Festivities
Just got back from seeing akiko's family in Maryland. It was a fun trip overall. Let's see, we went out for dinner with her sister one night (to the Dogfish Head Ale House, where I got a yummy "martini" made of Chambord, Grand Marnier and pineapple). Then we hung out in DC with eirias, from whom I am totally going to shamelessly steal this linked list of things we saw.
After that were two family parties for each side of Conni's family. Much yummy food was et. Later we went out for drinks with her cousin Lisa, which was also fun. Oh, and I got hot chocolate with Chambord in it. You may sense a theme here. Fortunately, because David gives awesome xmas presents, this theme can be continued at home.
Meanwhile, just before leaving for the trip, I received mystery Festivus present from the internets. (Randomized gift swap at a message board I hang out on.) I got a variety of totally awesome stuff, the piece de resistance being a set of huge home-made megaman refrigerator magnets. Win! (If any Talking Tyrants happen to be reading this for some reason, never fear - an epic post is forthcoming in the next few days when I get a chance to put it together.)
