Update about the kitties.
OK well I got ahold of the third floor neighbors today. Turns out two of the three cats are "theirs." I will use that term loosely since I feel it is pretty much impossible to own a cat when it is living outside. Which brings me to the next point, the grey girl is not theirs. They said they are waiting for a call about the other two cats they let out as far as some lady rescueing and adopting them out. They mentioned they were going to try to get the grey cat too. I told them I was thinking about taking the grey cat and getting it shots and such and keeping it for myself and they were cool with that. I can't think of anyone else it might belong to if not them since has been fairly consistently hanging out around here. And even if it did belong to someone, I think it is pretty silly to leave your cat outside most of the time and not expect it to dissappear at some point. Especially since it is obvious to me that this kitten is not fixed and she is getting close to the age where it needs to be done lest more kittens emerge on the neighborhood. Which leads me to my next point. I have not seen her all day today. If I had an outdoor cat I think I would go insane with worry when it didn't come home. So I totally don't understand people who don't keep their cats (other than working mousers at a farm or something) inside and safe from coyotes, cars and canines. There are some pretty chubby looking coyotes around here too...
Anyways, I hope I can catch her soon. She seems like such a sweetie.
