New Year, new chances...
Upon reflection, I think 2009 gets the word "mediocre" for its description. Last winter was pretty good, I did well, nothing happened of major importance...this is obvious to me as I don't really remember anything happening. ^^; Summer was pretty much summed up in the post I made. Shitty job, fun life for my evenings and weekends. This fall...sucked. I feel like I spent the entire semester being sick, my Honours Essay is barely started, let alone done, Haruhi didn't happen, my budget basically deflated... Oh, and I had the swine flu! That was an especially shitty ten days. About the only bright points in the semester were Halloween - Matt Power and I hit up a couple of mixers then went to Folly with Pata and Kelly, then Saturday night I went to Adam's party - meeting Rob (at said party) and our subsequent couple of dates in December, and this Christmas, 'cause Christmas is pretty much always awesome, and I got wonderful gifts this year. (Special thanks to Maisy, Pata & Kelly, Steph, Hilary, and Nan!)
All in all, I'm pretty glad to see the end of 2009. I don't think I really know anyone who had an overwhelmingly GREAT year this year.
Hopefully 2010 will work out better for all of us.
I've got another chance to finish my Honours Essay (400 lines left to do before the 11th of this month! Oh god!), I might even survive this winter, I've hopefully filled out my sickness quota for the year, things might happen between Rob and I (in between his 4-month work terms. yay.), the possibility of some travel, and if I'm really lucky, that "finished in December" thing might still happen. Doubtful, but vaguely still possible.
May each chance that comes up this year work out well for all of us. <3 And let it, please, be a truly Happy New Year. I think we all need one!
