Reading Dragon Blood
10 chapters in and I'm really enjoying it! I'm not addicted to it yet, but there are chances that that will happen sooner or later. The writing is good and the story and characters are quite interesting, I've never read a book from mercenaries point of view! in a world of mafias and bad guys this group of bad guys are the protagonists!
The story so far is that an injured young mercenary is lost in a jungle after a mission and finds a little boy there, who had an accident in helicopter. The boy doesn't want to leave the guy's side since he's the only human he found there... but little did he know what would expect him for clinging to him! O_O [Spoilers up to chapter 10 (out of 153)]
Mercenary guy is not nice but decides to adopt the kid and starts to, cruelly, train him in different areas: languages, fighting, physical resistance, etc. From the start he said he wasn't going to find the kid's parents but the kid was so afraid to be left alone he insisted in staying at his side. Now that he sees how bad is life with him, he promised that one day he'll be stronger than his new "baba", escape and go back to his family... but not without making his "baba" submit to him first... yes, you guessed right! the kid is going to grow to become the seme! lol (not really a secret since translator and author both spoil this with comments at the beginning :P)
What makes this fun is that you're really cheering for the kid to get his revenge! like "yeah! make that guy cry!!!" I can't wait to see how the tables turn! muahahaha Just imagine, the best mercenary in this regiment is training this kid who seems to have some special abilities... baba is not going to have a chance against him once this kid grows! >:)
