Finished Lip and Sword

And my soul feels better *sigh*

To be honest, it's an anti-climatic end, but somehow fits the novel, since it's kind of realistic and not mindlessly optimistic, life goes on, there's not a definite end for anything and things continue to happen at their own time. The extras continue closing plot points so you can consider them an important part of the novel, an epilogue.

Did it have a happy end? [spoilers!]Yes, on it's own terms, some things had to be sacrificed but everything went well for everybody in the end. Our main couple end up together in an official relationship, no stupid imaginary marriage, they went the realistic way and Yu Zhongye adopts Xing Ming into the family (it's a way to have an official legal relationship in Asian countries). Revenges and justice did come in forms of karma, not directly and publicly solving Xing Ming's dad issue but the bad guys did have to pay in other unrelated ways and Xing Ming finally healed and didn't need revenge or public apologies anymore, he was freed of his chains and able to move on.

I know I've said a lot of times but I'll say it again: it's an adult novel! not only for its spiciness but for how life is seen through it. I fully recommend it if you're into something written not in the usual danmei way.

Well, I finished reading it before I went back to read Old Injury but forgot to post about it :P

Amazon still doesn't want to ship the books to my country, but if one day they do, I'll buy them. Last book did have a lot of mistakes (grammar, typos, etc) but it was still readable, I could live with those as long as I can keep a physical copy with me.
