(no subject)
AnimeNext was fun! I spent most of the time just hanging out with Jess and Erin and gabbing. I didn't go to many events at all, which is fine, there really wasn't that much interesting stuff to do. The band concert sucked. I'm glad we went out for yummy Japanese on the corner instead of wasting our time making our ears bleed. Jess and I only went for a couple minutes and had to leave because the volume and reverb were so awful.
I was really happy to see Aaron and Ari and Max too. They're all so busy that I really one see them at cons anymore, which is sad. We'll have to fix that. Tentative plans to go see a movie in Pittsburgh with some of them soon. :D
My camera died on Sunday. Literally. It's 4 years old and the memory card in it suddenly decided to go corrupt so I lost everything on it. I took a few pics on Sunday, like eight or so, that got saved to the piffy internal memory once I took the card out. So I've been browsing for a new camera online. Found one on Amazon I really like - a Canon Powershot 500HS that has really good reviews. $299 so it'll have to wait until my next paycheck, but worth it.
Friday was so hot. About 90 and we roasted. Happily we got overnight thunderstorms which cooled it off immensely and the rest of the weekend was overcast and cool. :D
.... On the way to the con a tire blew off an 18-wheeler and hit my bumper. It took out the plastic fog-light placeholder and the panel behind it that's part of the wheel well. Car was still driveable, but my fiberglass bumpernow has a crack in it too. Gotta remember to call the insurance today so I can get it fixed. -_-;
I was good and the only things I bought were some books and a necklace. And food. Oh, the monies on food. D: Need to save up for Ireland.
Jess was telling me about this RP she's in so I'm trying to get the muses flowing. I'm only in one game right now with one character so I have more than enough time to devote to it. I'm thinking of playing someone from a series I've never payed from before because I think he'd suit the game. I rewatched his episodes last night and am letting the muse brew. All that wise-ass snark. :) The application is daunting in that it involves a lot of detail and massive character histories, which is good cause it keeps the crappy players out. It's gonna take a few days to write and edit it to my satisfaction. Standards!
Heh. TLDR post. Back to work like I should be doing. Just had to spew some word salad. Also I am more tired than I was yesterday even though I got more sleep. Go figure.
