Cause of problems with my family's church recently, Matt and I went to a Church of God service this morning. There was a guest preacher and there was a good energy during the songs and stuff....
But that place was crazy. The preacher was going on about living life according to the word instead of just knowing it and memorizing verses and stuff... and then he went into a rant about the crash of the economy being due to sin and having to turn the country back to Jesus.... and THEN he started on a 'vision' he had of the country being invaded in the future and the sound of machine guns everywhere and people coming to burn all the Bibles.
I was all.. O.o... what? what? really? and the whole time people were shouting Amen and Praise God and Come On.
I felt like it was going to turn into a mob and at any minute he could yell "Kill the Beast!" and everyone would go "AMEN!"
Craaaaaazy, crazy crazy people. So not going back to that one.
Now Matt and I are going to refer to that place as the "Kill the Beast' church.
Now the Steelers are on. Yay sports teams for venting aggression!
