Tekkoshocon was fun. Got to see Johnny's band and a J-rock group called Otokage. Hung out with Jess and Erin a lot. Got a few things. Like some half-priced manga volumes I was missing.
Tired.
Spend most of the last couple days in the hospital visiting Papa. He had a colonoscopy last week, the doctor removed a polyp, but didn't notice the perforated bowel they caused. They had no idea what was wrong so Papa was helicoptered to UPMC Shadyside where they did surgery to fix it and tried to clear up the blood infection that he'd gotten. He's still in the ICU, but he should be moved to a room soon because he's getting better physically.
... He's getting confused a lot. He was mostly fine when I was there yesterday, but today he insisted that my sis in NJ had come to see him and made some other weird comments. He thought he'd gone to a baseball game with me or something. The nurse says he keeps trying to get out of bed and walk around sometimes even though he's hooked to a ton of tubes and has a huge scar on his belly now. >> We're hoping it's just the medications. He didn't have any of that stuff before.
All this from a stupid fucking colonoscopy.
