Hn... thursday evening... nothing much going on. The chat rooms are deserted lately. Still debating on if I was to join the new sexy rp or not... >> I'm already pretty active in three.
I finished the free copy of Sieze the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon I got at dragoncon. It's the seventh in the series, but they can be read independently Gooooood book. *_* A fantasy romance... the first romance book I've read since... like tenth grade. They've gotten smarter. *_*
So I went to Borders yesterday and bought the first five... because there was a sale of buy four romances, get the fifth free. Read the first book, Fantasy Lover (the title would have turned me off from it if I hadn't read the other one first ^^;; ), at work today... the whole thing. *_______* And most normal romance books bore me to tears. But these have ancient gods, and vampires, and shape-shifters, and immortals, and kick-ass fight scenes... there just happens to be a major romantic plot, instead of a minor one. I is enthralled. *____* XDDD
Ummm... met the intern today from Brazil. Cute kid. He's in his last year of university. ... Which isn't that much younger than me... but I can't help thinking of him like a new puppy we can play with for awhile. Heh.
Sooooo... I never did get to updating about the rest of the con. Haven't felt much like it. Maybe this weekend I can locate the schedule and remember what all we did. We saw soooo much stuff.
Which got me into steampunk style now. Mmmmmm... I like it. Think "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen," "The Prestige," Final Fantasy 12, and any style dealing with steam engines, airships, and the time when science seemed magical. Mmmmm.. Alchemy! *mixes potions* *assembles new machina* That sort~~~~ of thing. XD
I discovered the 90's band The Tea Party recently... I very much like them. Must get a couple of their CDs. Bet I can find some used ones at the mall. The dude uses a violin bow on his guitar!!!! XD I've been chaining their youtube videos. Oh! I can link that stuff!
