I may be very tempted to kick my sister in the knees. Or accidentally nudge her in the way of a parade float. Or, at the very least, give her the smack upside the back of the head she so deservedly needs. <3 She's just been so ridiculously horrible today. AUGH.
Uncle Beamish stopped by yesterday -- he's in a halfway home in Amesbury lawl ten minutes away from Corinne, which is a nice change from being almost-not-quite-but-who-really-knows homeless over the summer. It's awesome to have him back, though, and here's to hoping that this time he really might kick his drinking for good.
Got the last of the shopping done yesterday, down in Kittery Maine. Kittery Trading Post actually makes camping look easy and comfortable, with all the crap they have there (and even if it really isn't, I miss camping enough to not care) and all the other outlet stores have insane sales. Wilson's Leather has everything in their store 75% off (and even then, I gravitated towards some of the more expensive coats without really realizing it, but that's just my habit). Oh, and Mikasa was closing down, so everything was 60% or more, so I got a nice serving platter and a mug; saw a nifty designer glass collection that was knocked all the way down to $10 from $90, and I'm so tempted to get it after Christmas.
Going to Grandpa's tonight for the parade and delicious eggplant pizza, then home and tomorrow I'm in charge of the duck dinner until my dad comes to pick me up. It's nice to be a bit ahead of schedule.
Oh! And
They look so sad and abused, like they're expecting the MSPCA to come and save them from the horrors of reindeer antlers. They're only lucky they're too big to stick in dog costumes, otherwise my mother would be having the time of her life.
"OMG MOMMY I'M FREE I'M FREEEEEEE!"
Tree trimming group. :D And Corinne isn't hiding, amazingly enough. XD
