Using my The Departed icon, because I saw Gone, Baby, Gone tonight and it was askaodinsd AWESOME. Which means, in some vague sense, it reminds me of The Departed. Hey, both dealt with undercover cop dealings and were shot in Boston - it counts.
But! I would seriously recommend Gone, Baby, Gone to anyone. The movie rips out your heart, stompes on it, drowns it, sets it ablaze, makes you feel good and sappy... and then rips it all out all over again. It is just... AUGH I LOVE IT. It's so twisty, plotwise, and really makes you think about morals vs. the legal system. <3 <3 <3
