"Dude! They got us helmets!"
Yesterday was the dog show field trip; I'm gonna put up pics of it later, promise~ It was wicked fun, though. There was a literal stampede of pugs, Corinne sat around and cuddled papillions for about an hour, we hung out with some English Bulldog breeders (who had the sweetest dogs EVER. I want one. >.>) then watched some folks groom a could Old English Sheepdogs, bought some stuff, amd chatted with some Mastiff and Irish Wolfhound breeders. Totally awesome. And I got some nifty reference pictures to draw from, because architecture is fun.
Stayed up til four in the morning last night, getting ready for my portfolio review. Finisher/varnish fumes... yum. It got to the point where I was ready to stab my eyes out with the next paintbrush I saw. But I finished that techno punk picture and my painting (yay, Russian Firebirds~), and dropped unconcious. Woke up at seven with the cat trying to knead my face with his claws.
Still, portfolio thing went pretty smoothly; the critic was really amazed at the fact I'm pretty much self-taught. I should probably use that fact to my advantage. The drop-in and draw was wicked fun, too, and in the gallery they had some work by a number of urban artists. A lot of graffiti/cartoon/ Mexican folk art based, but really amazing stuff. Stupid me, though, I forgot my camera. >.> Also got some shopping done, and now I need to get ready for the party tomorrow.
And as such~
1) Clean up room to the point you can walk across it without stabbing self in eye with paint mixing trowel.
2) Laundry
3) Empty and clean fishtank, move upstairs into cleaned room and set it up again.
4) Clean bird cage and move it downstairs where fishtank used to be.
5) Drag christmas decorations out of storage.
6) Make that lemon cake with raspberry filling.
7) Start bread dough.
8) Give Nick directions to house, because he's bound to call again to ask for them
