bloody dust bunnies
ok... so the rant about work is going to be tempered by the visit of my sister-in-law and most recent nephew. ^_^ he is cute. i'd give him lots of hugs except he's asleep and a wee bit sick. **basks in the cuteness of nephew and fun of family visits**
on the happenings in said sister-in-law's family i will say this... sometimes real life really is stranger and more whacked out than fiction. O.o
however... none of that is quite enough to distract me from the work rant. which, unless the customers truly outdo themselves, i hope will be the only one. or maybe i'll just reference this one if i'm really ticked off. and off we go....
1) what part of "we close at 9 pm" do people fail to understand? just because you squeak in the door before we lock it doesn't mean you can wander around for as long as you want. meh...... >.<
... and the rest of the ranting involving the people is failing to be resolved into coherent statements. meh.............
which means i'm now free to comment on all the dust bunny conventions i interrupted today while sweeping the store. ^_^ the entire floor actually got swept tonight. probably because we started early enough so that the annoying people who rush in thirty minutes or less to closing and want large piles of fabric cut didn't actually interrupt us. the dust bunnies had been safely dealt with. and as messy as they are to kill, it would be a lot messier if they really were bloody dust bunnies.
my dodgy sense of humor being what it is, i found that funny. however, my manager has an equally strange sense of humor so instead of being twitchy about me muttering amusedly to myself, she simply asked if i was addressing the dust bunny conventions i was taking out.
alternatively, i could blame all of the above on this having been the seventh night i've closed in almost as many days. @.o
