Aiji was halfway into the taxi when Maya grabbed his wrist to stop him, looking a little flustered, as though he had been running to catch up to him. With his heavy guitar case on his shoulder still and the cab driver waiting, he had a reason for looking a little impatient. A reason which Maya didn’t seem to care about.
“Don’t forget about tonight,” he said, letting his hand slip from Aiji’s wrist to rest on his hand as it held open the taxi’s door.
“I won’t. How could I, with you reminding me every five minutes that we have a date.”
It had been a week since they had officially become a couple, though neither of them was actually counting. Their friendship transitioned easily into something more. But there was one thing they hadn’t gotten around to yet.
Maya’s face was serious as he nodded, ignoring the exaggeration, and when he spoke, he was serious as well. Not to mention seductive. “I will have sex with you tonight, Aiji.”
Aiji just couldn’t bring himself to laugh, though he thought it was rather funny. Maya looked so determined and sure of himself. “Yeah,” he answered, pushing his guitar into the waiting cab. “And pigs will fly.” Looking back at Maya, he made a little waving motion with his hand, like fluttering wings
The serious look remained on Maya’s face for a few seconds before he started to laugh, favoring Aiji with a knowing smile. “You just wait until you see what I have planned for you…”
“Okay, okay.” Shaking his head sadly, Aiji got into the taxi, waving at Maya as it pulled away.
--------------
There were four hours between the end of rehearsal and when Maya was expecting him for the date. Aiji supposed he could have put them to good use, but no sooner had he taken off his shoes and left his guitar in it’s case on the couch, then he found himself heading to his room and collapsing on the bed. Sleep. He rarely got enough of it, so it was a much more tempting choice than any alternatives.
He was asleep so quickly it didn’t cross his mind to set an alarm, not thinking he could oversleep anyway. Which is just how he ended up waking again three hours and fifteen minutes later, with only forty-five minutes left to get ready and get to Maya’s place. A good ten of them were promptly spent worrying about how he should dress. Normally, this would not a big deal, but Maya had hinted that this was going to be a special night, regardless of whether or not they actually did have sex.
After a fruitless search for something fitting, he dismissed his worries as the product of a still-tired mind and realized he needed to take a shower before he ended up running late. Maya was never much of one for dressing formally anyway; the jeans and t-shirt he grabbed would work just fine.
His thoughts thereafter, as he shed his clothes and got into the shower, focused on a different problem. It wasn’t that he hadn’t wanted to have sex with Maya before- the desire was definitely there. It was that he’d never done it with another man before. He wasn’t sure how different it would feel, how different he should feel. He’d watched gay porn the other day and, recalling how quickly he had become aroused, he guessed at least that wouldn’t be different.
With these thoughts, the hot water from the shower became like a poor substitute for a lover’s touch. The unbidden image of himself and Maya fucking like the men in that video intruded in his mind, and to his frustration, he was growing hard. Shutting off the water, he began to dry himself with a towel, mumbling something along the lines of ‘I don’t have time to deal with this’.
Minutes ticked away as he put on his clothes and fixed his hair, taking more time than he should with that as it was a good distraction from his runaway imagination.
Though he managed to arrive at Maya’s five whole minutes early, his worrying mind had filled him with fears that Maya would be angry with him, would somehow read his doubts and internal conflicts on his face. The fears were unfounded, of course, and Maya greeted him with the same knowing, sly smile he had shown earlier.
“Aiji, come on in.” Pulling him by the hand, Maya stifled his response as he kissed Aiji softly on the lips. He let out an excited laugh as they parted, pulling Aiji again.
Into the small kitchen, which was almost entirely dark. This didn’t seem to bother Maya as he led Aiji to a chair and sat him down before grabbing something from the counter nearby.
“Maya… if you’ve got some sort of food fetish, I’d really prefer to discuss it first.”
Laughing again, Maya moved back to the table, a scratch-hiss noise emitting as he struck a match, lighting two tall candles in the middle of the table. “Guess again,” he said. That smile was really starting to bug Aiji.
In the slightly improved lighting, he could see silverware neatly arranged at the two place settings and two covered plates on the counter. “Dinner by candlelight?”
Nodding his head, Maya set about carrying over the two plates, making a show of this though Aiji only raised an eyebrow. “You didn’t make it yourself, did you?”
“Don’t make that face! No, I got it from your favorite place, that one down the street from the studio.” He removed the covers now, revealing a delicious-looking meal. Or at least, that’s what it seemed to be, but Aiji’s eyes still hadn’t managed to adjust completely to the candlelight.
“Is this supposed to be romantic? I can barely see your face.” Though he did see Maya sticking his tongue out at him when he said that.
“Just eat,” he ordered before starting on his own plate. Aiji kept quiet for a while, doing just that, even though his persistent worries had lessened his appetite.
“I don’t even know what I’m eating,” he joked, pretending to squint at his plate. “It’s pretty good, though. I hope I’m not allergic.”
“Okay, I get it, you don’t like this.”
“No, I do,” Aiji was quick to counter. “It’s just… not what I expected from you, Maya.”
A thoughtful silence settled over them now, the setting making it a bit uncomfortable as well. Maya was the one to break it, his voice sounding more sincere than Aiji could ever recall hearing.
“I just thought that if I did something that’s supposed to be romantic or sweet, you’d understand I want more than just to have sex with you.” He stood up, taking his plate to the sink and continuing to speak as he turned on the lights and snuffed out the candles. “I know that I joke a lot, but I’m being serious about this. And I know that you’re nervous, so-”
“I’m not nervous,” Aiji interrupted. He stood up, a reaction from the nervousness he denied, as though he needed to be ready to bolt out of the room.
Maya laughed. “You’re doing that thing where you rub the fingers on your right hand like you do before lives sometimes. You’re nervous, Aiji.” He reached over to take Aiji’s hands in his before he had a chance to shove them in his pockets in an effort to stop them from betraying him. “It’s kind of cute.”
Though ‘cute’ wasn’t exactly the best compliment Aiji could have asked for, he did find himself much more relaxed almost instantly. When Maya leaned in to kiss him, he responded with no timidity, only pushing him away gently because he had something to say.
“I want to sleep with you. Tonight.” Grinning, Maya had leaned forward to kiss him again, only to be held back still as Aiji kept talking. “But it isn’t because of the dinner. It’s because I want to be with you.”
“That’s even better.”
Practically tripping over his own feet in excitement, Maya kissed him again briefly before pulling him towards the bedroom. “We’ll take it slow, I promise,” he said, though his words seem to contradict his actions. It seemed like within seconds of stepping into the room, he had taken off his shirt, tugging at Aiji’s next. He leaned in as his hands worked on button and zipper of Aiji’s pants, speaking quietly but with a nearly gruff edge to his words, unexpected and alluring. “Just touch me like you touch yourself.”
When they had shed every piece of their clothing, Maya led Aiji to the bed, kissing him softly to keep away any feelings of nervousness. Aiji couldn’t manage to keep his eyes closed for the kisses, opening them every few seconds to take in another glimpse of Maya’s body, a sight far better than any feat of imagination had prepared him for because it was real, it was Maya naked before him and it was real.
“Well, are you just going to stare?” Maya asked, and they both laughed lightly, the kind of slightly nervous laughter that made things more comfortable rather than more embarrassing. Moving closer, prompted by the question and by the advice he had been given, though he was unable to form the words for a spoken response to them, Aiji began to stroke Maya’s hardening cock. He let out a strange noise, something in between a laugh and a sound of pleasure, murmuring, “Good.”
Of course, Maya wasn’t so rude as to leave Aiji to help himself. His hand began to stroke him in time, stealing another kiss as Aiji began to moan and arch his back to push towards the touch. His own hand began to falter as he ached for something more than the teasingly light touch of Maya’s hand.
It was at that point that he moved away, despite Aiji’s wordless, whimpering objections, and searched in a drawer of the bedside dresser for something. From the slight grumbling he heard, Aiji guessed Maya was as frustrated as he felt, but he turned around again looking happy as ever and now holding something in his hand.
“Maya…” Aiji couldn’t keep the worry from his voice, inspired anew by the sight of the brightly coloured package Maya was now unwrapping. But he was silenced with another kiss, surprised to feel Maya roll the condom onto his now fully erect length. “Maya,” he said again, the last syllable becoming more of a breathy gasp which made Maya laugh again.
He moved to lie on his back as he opened the bottle of lube he had fetched with the condom, taking Aiji’s hand and putting some of the slick substance on his fingers.
“Will it… hurt?”
Maya shook his head. “Aiji, if it hurt, I wouldn’t want it so bad. Although with you… I don’t think I’d care if it did hurt. Just… don’t go too fast.”
Impatient, but mindful of that warning, grinning widely, Aiji let his lubed fingers penetrate Maya, giving him time to adjust before adding more at his urging. He was wriggling at the touch, gasping out another order for Aiji. “That’s enough. Now. Please.”
His fingers slipped away, replaced by the head of Aiji’s cock, slowly pushing inside. Bracing himself with his hands on the bed, Maya’s legs up around his shoulders, Aiji moaned as he pushed in further, drawing back and repeating the motion, leaning in to kiss Maya passionately.
It was more than that sensation alone that made him feel so good. It was Maya’s whole body, the noises he made, deep moans that ended at a breathless higher pitch. It was the way his hands clutched at the blanket beneath them as his hips moved forward to meet each thrust.
Aiji came, moaning out Maya’s name as he continued to thrust as the sound of his voice mixed with Maya’s, strangely melodic. He could feel Maya tightening around him as he approached orgasm, and he stayed in that position until he came, too.
Sliding out now, Aiji removed the condom and snuggled close to Maya, who let out a giggle. “Not bad, Aiji. For your first time.”
--------------
Waking up comfortable in Maya’s embrace, Aiji let him continue to sleep as he took a shower and borrowed some of his clothes to wear rather than picking through the pile on the floor. Maya was awake when he returned to the room, sitting up so that the blanket that covered him slipped down to reveal his chest.
“Good morning,” he mumbled, blinking lazily.
“Go back to sleep,” Aiji said, laughing. “We’ve got the day off.”
Maya obeyed, lying down again, but he called Aiji back with a question before he could leave the room. “Was I better than Kimi?”
“Way better.”
“Better than the doll?”
“No question.”
“Better than… Akiko?”
“Who?”
“The girl who was on drugs.”
Wondering how Maya had been the one to remember that detail this time, Aiji went to sit on the edge of the bed, kissing Maya’s forehead. “You were the best.”
“Then we should do it again tonight.” His lips curled into a smirk.
Aiji was sure Maya knew he had no objections to that, so he gave no answer as he stood up again, simply waving his hand back at him.
