They really say that. I was telling a good friend I thought I might have it, and her first reaction was "You can't have Asperger's, you're not an asshole."

Ow. Ouch. That hurts.

yeah the implication that because i have visible feelings i'm not. they don;t see all the effort that goes into being and trying hard to act normal.
