Ah, SDK... I'd been going through the non-SDK ones first (Utaban, Our Music etc) since there were fewer of those, so I didn't find it. xD Thanks!

The butai verse is kinda in hiatus right now (._.); while I try to sort out all the plot points until the ending first. The current story is still very drafty with contradicting plot branches all over the place. =PP I've been revising the existing chapters bit by bit too, and thinking maybe I should write out everything and post the finished fic in one or two parts instead of by chapter. *ponders*

This drabblet has such a comfortable and clean feel, though maybe your minimalism got too much for me because I got a little lost. :p It's amusing because the last paragraph mentions that the documentary is all he remembers, whereas the fic is about everything but the rambling about said documentary.

The writing process did flow back and forth, scraped here and there, so maybe I did leave out some bits and joints in my brain! ^^0 Any particular point to clarify? =)

I kinda picked that bit from their Utaban appearance where Tsuyoshi told the story about Kouichi coming to him for a heart-to-heart talk, but all Kouichi remembered of that incident was how their manager stepped on poop after that. xD He just seems more 'playful' in these sort of interviews I think? (compared to, say, musical promos) that I picture he'd just come up with answers in the spur of the moment and wouldn't particularly remember them afterwards. Not that it will be much problem anyway since he seems naturally consistent. =)P /ramble

Maybe just a little more about the 'cause and effect' line. Though I'm fairly sure it'll all become clearer when I'm not as sleep-deprived as I am now. Your fics are perfect for re-reads when one has a craving for KinKi writing but lacks the energy/concentration for anything too long. ♥

Ah I see! That part is vague indeed, lost in my attempt to mimic KinKi's random MC-style conversation. =P

An expanded version is more or less like this:
Tsuyoshi was supposing an alternative universe with Tanaka Kouichi in it but assuming the forming of their group was an 'unconditional event' that would inevitably happen in that universe too. Kouichi's opinion was that in either universe the law of cause and effect must still apply; if the forming of the group is the effect (inevitable or no), and in this universe the cause is their surnames being the same, then there should be an equally strong cause in the other universe for Doumoto T. and Tanaka K. to get paired up.

(Long explanation is long, sorry. =S)
