Credit cards suck (sometimes)

Dear credit card company -

Thanks a lot for slipping in that extra interest accrual on my account. If I make one late payment and I understand that I will pay interest in addition to a late fee. Apparently, though, you now carry interest accrual - invisibly - on all charges in the month AFTER the late payment as well. I’m sure that policy is working out GREAT for you. Too bad I didn’t spend a lot more those subsequent weeks in total ignorance of your nefarious plan to extend my ganking for a one-off mistake!

Frankly I think once I’ve earned another $32 in rewards cash I’m going to cancel my account with you. I started it because you offered cash back for gas and grocery purchases, but in the intervening time you have cut the cash back percentage by more than half and your policies seem to keep slanting this deal more and more in your favor. It's quite possible that I've only just broken even, which makes me sad, because I thought I was smart enough to get the best of this deal.

You’re just not worth the trouble anymore.

Signed,
A once-happy customer

I know, I know, this all stemmed from my mistake of paying 3 days past the due date. I'm not good at paying online-only bills, frankly. The tangibility of paper makes me remember cutting the check, writing the return address, sticking the stamp, and sending it off; I get none of these experiences with online bill payment.

I could probably get a better rewards-type card deal elsewhere anyway.
