The Rain Girl

I like sitting-in in classes of my senior classmates who were actually my batchmates. I pretended to be one of the graduating students when I was actually a junior student. I had fun but the class was dead boring and I was losing interest fast. The class was supposed to be a two hour session when the teacher decided to cut time short and released ten minutes earlier than should be.

Getting out of the class was a surprising one. It was raining real hard and of course, I did not have any umbrella with me so I have to suck up to my senior classmates. If I were to go home right away, I'd be wet like a chick and totally cold from the drenching rain. We had just actually finished picking up names for our annual exchange of gifts (aren't we too excited?). Anyway, we tried to wait for the rain to be over.

Too bad, it didn't stop. ^^,

So we spent a couple of minutes for senseless chitchat, telling each other jokes and what we want for Christmas until I finally decided to brave the rain, pulling Julie, my best friend, with me. Lucky she had her umbrella but I still got wet. The others followed suit. See, I'm a good leader.

I borrowed an umbrella and decided to call for a vehicle we can use to ride home. Unfortunately, because of the heavy rain, there wasn't any.

We decided to walk the other way around the campus to the entrance since, it wouldn't be as flooded as the exit. We went, but having got tired ducking under the rain, I ran from under the umbrella..I know its crazy but I liked what I did. I missed running under the rain. My pink uniform (yes, our uniform is pink, so what) is getting wet, and slowly soaking my skin.

I did not mind anymore...I just laughed my head like crazy. It had been a long time since I had fun under the rain and fun it was. I laughed with all my heart. I pulled Jessa, a close friend, with me as I ran under the rain, I stomped my feet, waved in the puddles and laughed like there's no tomorrow. My senior classmates laughed at me, I know they were having fun too. At least, all of us were all soaking wet from the heavy rains.

But despite having laughed, having fun under the rain, I realized one thing after I came home still walking under the rain completely soaked. I thought rain could bring back memories and back when I was with my senior classmates running under the heavy rain at six in the evening laughing, it did not bring back memories. It washed them all away. And I only remembered the memories when I was already taking a warm bath.
