Wooden Swords
Yay! for wooden swords (bokutou) in one of my favourite SF shows. Check out this entry in the blog of Joe Mallozzi, one of the producers for Stargate: Atlantis, and take particular note of pictures 5 and 6. I read awhile ago that the actor (Jason Momoa) behind the character Ronon had done kendo in the past... and some of his familiarity with bokutou was previously displayed back in S2.
But SF is always more fun with a bokutou in hand... =D
