No, not really, but I thought it was hilarious today (well, 3.25 hours ago) when I was chatting with my Japanese teacher after we finished class at the community centre.
"Do you know a show called Battlestar Galactica?" she asked cautiously.
"I love it!"
"Well, you remind me of Starbuck."
Cue my disbelieving look and a huge laugh (Perhaps I just do an excellent imitation of Katee Sackoff's cheeky grin). But then we started talking about seeing the more recent episodes - she asked me if I'd seen Razor, and I had to confess that I haven't watched it the whole way through yet - and she said that a few seasons are now available to rent at local video stores, even the dubbed versions.
BSG in Japanese? This, I really want to see ^_^
And speaking of seeing is believing, I'm participating in a speech competition on Sunday. Not that I'll be posting any video from it, because I'm convinced I will be awful (yay, optimism - it works for me). But I'd like to think you guys are cheering me on in spirit!
