Am I the only one who doesn't eat meat on Good Friday?

Well, it's rhetorical question, because I know I'm not. But I find it weird that despite my questioning of faith and religion over the last few years that I still feel compelled to continue the one-day-a-year abstinence that I really only started to notice that my family observed when I was about seven.

The last week has felt a little less frantic, with the run of Blithe Spirit completed. I went back to tutoring, back to impro, and on Thursday night attended a farewell dinner for a friend from tea ceremony who is returning to Japan.

I met my cousin, her husband and their baby for brunch this morning at a local cafe, where we partook of some delicious homemade crumpets and toasted banana bread. I took some photos while we were there, to finish the roll of film containing the last photos from Blithe. The photo tech will probably think I'm baby-obsessed!

I bought Carnivale from JB weeks ago, and I've finally gotten to sit down and watch a few episodes. Damn it's good! All the while, I'm having The Pretender flashbacks, what with Patrick Bauchau as Lodz and Tim DeKay (Jonesy), who guested in the same episode Jennifer Garner did, "Pool."

easter, tv, theatre
