2 drabbles, both based on songs by The Presets and both sort of AU :3 I know I should be studying, but when I study I listen to music a lot so suddenly, PLOT BUNNIES!
Anyways, this is the first time I've actually managed to write drabbles as drabbles and not turn them into one-shots :D Enjoy!
Title: This Boy's In Love
Rating: PG
Pairing: Ohmiya
Nino vaults over the wall, feets scrabbling for purchase on the slick, wet surface. When he reaches Ohno, their hands meet and clasp onto each other; tight, desperate and clammy.
After that the rest of the night is a blur, spent fumbling through bushes in the darkness and darting in and out of deserted alleyways. It's wet tonight, the rain soaks through both of their clothes, making them cling to the outlines of their bodies, and Nino thinks sourly, It's just their luck that tonight especially would be cold and wet.
A car shoots around the corner and both of them freeze, pressing themselves against the side of a building. Once the headlights are out of sight, Nino releases the breath he didn't realise he was holding, and feels Ohno's hand relax in his.
It's almost two o'clock when they reach the station, judging by the moon and how black the sky has become. The two share a look and glance around briefly, back the way they came. Ohno's eyes are glassy and his face is flushed from the cold and Nino can't help but think he's beautiful like this. So he leans over, presses a kiss to Ohno's lips and gives his hand a reassuring squeeze.
Ohno stares at Nino for a moment and Nino wonders if he's having second thoughts, feels his chest tighten at that. But then Ohno nods and this time, it's Ohno who leads him by the hand across the road and aboard the train. It's only when morning breaks that Nino allows himself to smile, laugh, because they're free, finally. He pillows his head on Ohno's shoulder, Ohno's hand reaching round to hold him closer, smiles and thinks they'll never see us again.
Title: If I Know You
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Matsumiya
Jun makes his way through the mass of heated bodies, looking for something and nothing at the same time. So it's a surprise when he reaches the bar and sees a familiar figure hunched upon the stool, small hands stirring his drink for lack of anything better to do.
He smirks and advances until he's directly behind the boy.
A bony chin digs into his right shoulder and Nino jumps, dropping his straw and turning around a little too quickly.
It's surprising that the two of them would meet like this, after all, it's been over two years since they last saw each other, longer since they last talked. But Jun smiles at Nino like he used to, sweet and full of promises, and Nino's weak to it.
Jun asks why he's here as he moves to occupy the seat next to Nino and Nino already knows where this will lead to in the end. It would have ended like this either way, in all honesty, whether he met Jun or not. That's what happens when you mix hurt, loneliness and alcohol together after all.
Nino doesn't answer Jun; he fires the question back at him instead, ”Did Umeko finally kick you out of her apartment?”, full of bite and moves so he's sitting in Jun's lap.
”Umeko and I broke up years ago,” Jun supplies, and Nino nods, suddenly awkward as Jun grabs his drink and rests it against his mouth, ”But that's not really important, now is it, Kazu?” He adds as he knocks the glass back, throat swallowing the burning liquid yet keeping his eyes fixed on Nino.
And Nino knows, knows he's being played, like always he thinks, but they leave the club together anyway.
