Today

Today I guess was the inauguration? Where have I been? ... Nah just kidding, we did a special day for it in class today! My class that I teach of course! It actually was cool because we put it on as it was happening on the TV and the kids for the most part really wanted to watch and hang out. Some of them even stayed in for lunch to watch it.

Speaking of the inauguration, did anyone else think that the song John William composed was amazing?! It as if I could feel the hardworkingness of the upcoming society was being personified in the music. It encompassed the feeling of hope so incredibly.
We decided to have the kids write a short speech about what the inauguration meant to them. There were some winners in there, for sure.

Oh yeah, I also wrote one too. I surprised myself with how much hope and feelings came out of me when I gave the speech to the students, and lucky for them, the other teachers that happened to be observing. I felt my face get hot even though I talk in front of the kids every day. It was pretty nice to have such a feeling come through me because it's not often that I get to feel such an intense feeling while at school.

UPDATE! No Homework, got emailed from both professors! Whee!

Ugh.. I can't talk to Allison really and I'm frustrated and disappointed. That's what terrible cellphones and terrible computers do! Ugh! So many things I want to share but can't. I want to hear about DC because it's supposed to be a really cool town. Oh I didn't tell you. Allison covered the inauguration! She's doing so many stories and you can check them out on statesnews.com And she has a blog too. Like serious reporter stuff. She also has been able to expose this terrible decision the city of East Lansing made and was Parappa, Pika-chu, and Tails for Halloween. Most recently she was Scar. Ughhhhh, the coolest creative cat! Which by the way I'd like to play Cranium soon.

Oh so Sunday night, went to Sheena's party at like mid's and it was totally rockin! We were all dancing and stuff so I was totally psyched and then this freak pops up outta nowhere that me and Beans were splitting our sides over because he had Salvia, and I talked a bit to him about mushrooms and eechhh, big mistake. This kid becomes enamored and talks to me for a while and he looked exactly like the ice truck killer from Dexter and it was boring. So I ditched him when luckily it was Beans and I's turn for Beer pong. At least we got our dance on.

Oh and I wore my new Jacket, which I constantly want to put on inside out because I always think its the wrong way. Ross actually bought the coat I wanted but that's ok even though the inside was soft black fur and the outside was colorfulness. Oh this isn't over though. Just wait till the next time we drink and then WHAMMO! cleave his coat clean off. Oh! The cool part was we were lookign at them and were like man these are way too much and actually had jokes with these girls that were looking at them too and we were like whats 20$ these coats? because there was a sale sign right above them for $20 but they looked way too cool to be true but then it ended up it WAS!

So I kinda looked up a school in Jamaica in Kingston. It seems kind of sweet and they are looking for Teachers from the United States. This seems like a really awesome area but I haven't decided for sure. I need to research more areas!

This reminds me of in class my professor really got me excited about living in Portland. I really want to look into it and see what is going on there, besides, according to her, the greenness of it, cool events, awesome nightlife, cheap taxis, Taz stuffed animals everywhere, hiking, skiing. Uh so sweet! I think I need to visit there soon. Maybe I'll take a trip to there for spring break?

Resolution Update - Yoga - Check
News reading... kinda check
pleasure reading - Check! Started reading Nickeled and Dimed about how it is not possible to get by in the US on minimum wage for a person without going into debt. It's so far a pretty cool read but I want more info, and also want to read NO LOGO again. It really was interesting and I never finished it.

And lastly complain about my field instructor for school.

Listen to this,
my friend is teaching more than she should because her teacher she works under's son has cancer and is undergoing chemo so she explained this to my instructor and concerns about how to handle it and things and she replied -
so you're not just teaching Spelling then?
and dropped it. Ugh it is super frustrating
and I'm frustrated about having to not teach the way MSU wants me to because of scheduling conflicts within the school. So unhelpful and defeats a large ammount of help that my teachers would be able to provide. Cool! This only just happened last semester.

Anyways, on that note lets take a little break, in childs pose. This one is a Yoga position in which you kneel down and place your hands straight out in front of you and let your forehead touch the ground along with the palms of your hands. It's a relaxer.

Alright -

Next post goal,

Headings, topics, and direction with writing.

See you later and if you want to talk to me, try to!
