Kids are funny

Today one of my students told me that I was being "draconian" by enforcing a rule requiring kids to stay in their seats during lunch. Hahaha.

Haha... Yeah, the funny thing is that these are first graders.

Today I was in Starbucks and this little girl who appeared to be no more than nine years old, and not visibly accompanied by any adult, went up to the counter and asked for an extra foam soy latte. Then, when the barrista asked her a question and she didn't respond right away, the girl apologized with, "Sorry, I'm like soooo out of it. I haven't got my caffeine yet today."

Gah!
