it's that time again...
so i'm looking for a place to live, and i come across this sweet house in new brunswick. tons of rooms, two kitchens, huge fucking basement and attic, just a few blocks from my favorite bar - and cheap, too. turns out a certain famous band used to play there all the time, and by some accounts, actually lived there. so not being one to pass up a good opportunity, i'm trying to get a bunch of my friends to go in on the deal w/ me, and turn it into a kick-ass venue.
unfortunately, that's been something of a challenge. long story - all sorts of stupid infighting between my friends, etc. so anyway, i'm kind of hard up for people to fill this place. so i went to this band's official message board, and posted something about it. and suddenly, everyone on the board is laughing at me.
is it just that the new brunswick punk scene is considered to be beyond resurrecting by most? does everybody who still goes to shows in this town have a fucking livejournal and wear sweaters? or does everyone else know something i don't?
