Twitter, now known as X, is consigned to the same fate. Facebook is full of people just waiting for something else to capture their attention. The age of social media is passing rapidly.
The moral is clear: serve your users, or lose them. All of us have choices on where we spend our attention. Livejournal, MySpace, Friendster, Six Degrees, Ello, X, our history is littered with the tombs of what was.
I'm very excited as to what's next. This era was not a good idea.
