New Bass Guitar Strings
Last night Moshi and I went to Ayala center here in makati to (unwind and) get new guitar strings for my electric bass guitar. For now my bass guitar (named Johnny Bravo) is with Momiji our bass player for AsianChickenFest I promised her for almost two years that I would get new strings haha.
It's all rusted and really old. I got that bass guitar in 2006. I used that in my early "X versus Zero" days before ericvids became our bass player. And before it was used by fionxie, in our band(s) "Shake well before using" / "Tokyo't baboy".
and way before that, this was owned by our neighbor. He sold to it to me for 5 thousand Pesos back then.
to summarize, the strings are REALLY OLD! Momiji always joked that we have a free bass overdrive sound because of the rusty strings. Momiji is very mall and Johnny Bravo is a clone of a Fender Jazz Bass which is quite big.
And so, I bought the strings at JB Music store at park square 1. It cost me about 1,200 Pesos T_T buyung electric guitar strings were three times cheaper.
I bought an Ernie Ball "Super Slinky" set. I really don't know much about bass strings. I hope this would be OK ^_^
We will install it maybe this weekend when Momiji and I are both free.
