Small Rant from Crunchy Neck

Jul 18, 2006 22:13

A good friend left me a message that I didn't see until I meandered back into my room.  That message pretty much said that people who do drugs shouldn't complain about how their lives aren't going as they had planned.  I think that's so true, only I wouldn't limit it to just drugs.  There are many stupid things people can do that veer their lives to undesired directions.  The best part about it is they have been warned several times.  I mean, let's go back to drugs, shall we....How many anti-drug commercials are there now?  There were anti-drug commercials when I was little.  There can't be a claim that, "Oh, no one ever told me that drugs do that."I don't see how people can be surprised that their lives haven't gone as planned when that's exactly what they've been told would happen if they should choose the lifestyle they're maintaining.  Anyway, that's the end of that rant.

Now, some of you who may be reading this may be wondering, "Who the mess is Crunchy Neck?"  Well, I was working a crime scene last Wednesday and got a pretty good sunburn.  Short story is it's peeling and feels really weird.  However, good news is I worked five crime scenes during my internship.  How cool is that?!  Tomorrow is my last day.  I'm going to miss all the people I worked with, but I still have stuff to do after this is over.  I'm going to be an instructor again for the high school's band camp here.  Also, I may be taking a class for two weeks before I start my own band camp.  Yay for scheduling conflicts.  Anyway, I should be going to bed.  Maybe I'll post a picture from the crime scene later.  Later.

(Note:  I need new pictures of me for livejournal.)
