how is it not massively anxiety-inducing for someone as busy as I to laze around so much?
TO DO TODAY:
- reading for next couple days of class
- call Debbie back re: scheduling interview for part-time circ position at Eastern branch (she's only in 8:30 to 4:30, so better get cracking)
- actually finish laundry today so Mom stops making snide comments when I fold it
- finish drafting email & send resume for other possible job prospect
- work for Jacek, since I honestly haven't done anything for him since like January and he wants to meet next week (but ugggh, arxiv.org is a pain)
- ensure steady supply of chocolate and naproxen (thank you, Easter)
- enjoy the weather -- restructure appropriate driving playlist
Got a notice from the feds in the mail yesterday. "Oh hai, we noticed you're ending your education in a month -- you're in a grace period until December, but let's talk loan repayment plans anyway." Ugh. Though honestly, with my monthly tuition payments having officially ended as of March I can just put aside that extra money towards them... hopefully between that and the lender they set me up with in undergrad my monthly payments will work out to about the same and I won't be losing money. Heck, if either of the employment opportunities above works out I'll be making more anyway, so even if they were more it'd balance out... hopefully.
It's still disgustingly expensive to live around here, though, so I'm likely to be stuck here for a good long while. Parents are being wonderful with requiring a mere $150 monthly in rent post-graduation for Shannon and me (and we'll stay on their cell phone -- and for me car insurance and for her health insurance -- plan indefinitely), so I definitely cannot complain.
"Depending on someone else for your raison d'etre is preposterous... and changing yourself for the sake of someone else is purely unthinkable..." <- ...this strikes me as a very Seishirou thing to say.
...Kaoru is being all Hokuto to Hikaru's Subaru and stepping back to let him connect with other people. Except the idea of Haruhi as Seishirou is just lolworthy. ......and this don't help that impression.
......Tamaki on Kyouya: "He pretends to be all cool, but he is extremely ambitious and calculating. That shows he has enormous passion." LULU MUCH?
AND THE SAKURAZUKA ARE GARDENERS, AHAHAHAHAHA. I wonder if they write it with the same kanji. ...I wonder how you'd write it with different kanji.
...also Mori's little brother looks like Fuuma, just a bit.

An aside: it's difficult having verbal discussions with someone about fandom when you're into stuff where characters have similar/identical names -- Kallen from Code Geass and Karen from X, Tamaki from Ouran and Code Geass, Euphie from Code Geass and Yuffie from Final Fantasy VII... Occasionally hilarious in crossed conception of what a person's talking about, but difficult.
