Dear, we might want to get one of these to protect our investment. I've been being very careful so far, but better safe than sorry, right?

Also, some plot notes on Crisis Core, mostly for the possibility of working it into something at some point...

- Genesis has been gone for a whole month before the game starts.

- You can get messages about their idols from the Angeal fangirl and the Genesis fangirl, but the Sephiroth fangirl doesn't give you the option. Sadface. :(

- YUFFIE IS UTTERLY ADORABLE. Your first real mission is to Wutai, and you run into her at one point (she appears to be singing a war-song about Wutai, though I couldn't quite get it). She speechifies for a bit before coming up to Zack and doing that little fist-thingy she does in game as if trying to beat him up, while Zack just stands there looking down at her, bemused... until he falls over and pretends to be all "ow, aah, that hurts, ow" and she's like "YEAH I SHOWED YOU" and runs off. Then he gets up and is like "what a weird kid" before continuing on his mission like nothing happened.

- Upon using the Buster-which-Angeal-never-uses to help Zack out of a tough spot: "You're more important to me than this sword." That plus the "I LOVE YOU ANGEAL!" thing when he mentions recommending Zack for First Class = y halo thar more justification than most pairings can even dream of.

- This Lazard fellow is kinda suspicious to me. He's like... blond and smarmy, and I don't trust him. And what is UP with that suit, really?

- Angeal deserts on your first real mission, the one to Wutai. Poor Zack is utterly heartbroken.

- Sephiroth is very abrupt at your first brief meeting, but he has a bang-up entrance, smacking down Ifrit in one hit when it looked like all the crap Zack went through to knock him down hadn't worked. They really like doing him surrounded by fire, don't they?

- The proper name for the "baka ringo" appears to be the Banora White apple (though I could've been hearing it wrong and that might be the name of the tree it grows on, taken from the colour of the bark). Assume the "baka" part comes from the way the tree's trunk grows arched over so its top is against the ground instead of straight upwards, because seriously, WTF.

- Angeal and Genesis's hometown was pretty nice. Too bad they bombed it into oblivion (though necessary for canon's sake). I wonder where the ruins would be...

- Apparently the war with Wutai is still going on early in the game; Zack mentions it ending after he returns from his mission to Angeal's hometown (his second mission), and how everyone's happy but he's... meh.

- When Zack finally gets the promotion to First after Angeal's deserted, he's all "...I'm not really that happy..."

- He doesn't change his hair right away after his promotion, either -- it's not like "new uniform, new 'do." (Granted, he hasn't really had TIME yet, but...)

- Seph mentions to Zack that he and Angeal and Genesis used to sneak into the somewhere to hang out when they were Seconds (or something along those lines). Zack says "you were close, huh?" and Seph's like "I suppose" before he has the flashback to the Battle of Poor Angeal Getting Fireballed in the Face. Looks like that was the breaking point (for Genesis, at least)...

- Woobieness is Seph having another flashback a little later, taking place after aforementioned fight, in which he and Angeal were hanging around waiting to hear how Genesis was doing after his injury, and the doc lets Angeal in but it's not such a good idea for Seph to come, and there's sad music and WAAH I WISH I COULD'VE BETTER UNDERSTOOD WHAT THEY WERE SAYING THERE. :(

Also, the music is pretty good. The hard-rock battle themes get kinda repetitive after a while, but I like a lot of the other stuff. ♥

And I have something to print for class, so I gotta run.
