Summary: What if Dean never hugged Sam goodbye before putting his plan for containing Michael in motion? If he didn’t build the Mal’ak box in Donna’s shed, but somewhere secret instead? What if he left a letter before he walked out - a letter that Sam found hours too late?

Artist commentary:
For this Bang, I wanted all my art to be spooky or eerie. Just somehow unsettling. So, I looked around for horror games to draw inspiration from. This collection is heavily inspired by the video game “Neverending Nightmares.”
Mostly because the game shows shocking scenes of self-harm to showcase the psychological horror of depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I don’t want to spoil the game much, so I won’t say much more about it. But I liked the game and it lined up well enough with “Suffocation’s" visual prompts that I was excited enough to put my own spin on the style.
The title card draws the most from the game, but after that, I started to deviate and make it my own. I was being too much of a try-hard on the spooky in the title card and scene 1 so they have faint impressions of fish and creepy faces. I got more comfortable with what I set out to do in the remaining illustrations.
For scene 1 I wanted an intense, scared, sickly Dean. I think I did that. He might look a little wonky, but he’s in a bad place at this point in the story so I thought it fit.
For scenes 2-4 more like 2.1-2.3, I wanted claustrophobic, silent, simple, oppressive. The only expression I wanted Dean to have is in his legs. There is obviously no light when you’re closed up in the box like Dean’s coffin, but I wanted the eyes to be drawn towards the act of Dean’s knife digging in his arm and to show depth by making everything darker as you go further back in the coffin. There is not a lot of blood present because the story didn't call for it. If you read the story you'll understand
The reason why scene 4′s skin flap has holes in it was that I was attempting to make the skin look like it was ripping as the cut got thinner on it’s way up. Basically, the heavier part of the skin weighed down on the top part enough that it was trying to separate on its own. I think I missed the mark on that, but it’s still experience.
Overall, I’m happy with what I did.
Enjoy, if you can!♥♥♥
