“I’m tired,” Nino whined when Ohno freshly showered pulled off the blanket and nuzzled his cheek to wake him up.
“Poor baby,” Ohno whispered and kissed his cheek. “But you need to get up.”
“Why?” Nino groaned and rubbed his eyes as he allowed Ohno to turn him onto his back and nuzzled against the hollow of his neck. “Smelling good,” he mumbled licking the slightly wet skin from the water running down the still slightly wet hair.
Ohno smiled fondly down at him and played with his hair, feeling just slightly bad for waking his lover. It was no wonder that Nino was tired. They had spent the last week, packing all their stuff into boxes and preparing their new hopefully forever home. The house they found with the help of their parents was a ten-minute walk away from Nino’s mother and even if Nino had told him that was annoying to be so close to his mother Ohno knew that the opposite was true. Nino was more than happy to live that close to her, and Ohno didn’t mind.
Ninomiya-san was no scary mother-in-law but the opposite and he knew that there would be a lot of pre-cooked meals for them when they went back to work.
Yesterday they had moved most of the stuff from Nino’s apartment and today they had planned to take a break before putting everything in order at the new house the next day. It had been planned that way because Ohno knew how tired Nino tended after having to deal with so many people around him.
“Because I want to take you out.”
“I want to sleep,” Nino whined, not easily deterred from his plans of staying at home all day and sleep most of it.
Ohno chuckled as he bit his shoulder and rubbed his side. “Pretty please?” he asked again, looking at him with big eyes.
Nino watched him for a second and then he sighed. He knew that Ohno had done everything possible to keep him out of the stress as much as he could. And even if he didn’t want to be around anybody a date with just Ohno sounded nice.
“What do you want to do?” he asked with a small frown on his face and Ohno grinned.
“Just the aquarium. We can watch the fishes and find our inner peace.”
“If I don’t get seasick,” Nino joked but then he pressed a kiss against his neck and nodded. “Okay, but you’ll pay.”
“Of course, my love. Do I get to chose our outfits as well?”
Nino frowned at him but then he shrugged. “Okay,” he allowed, chuckling at the silent glee that Ohno radiated. It was nice to do things that made Ohno happy, he thought. So maybe this was okay and if he was not able to do much the next day it would be Ohno’s fault after all.
-
“Oh, Nemo!” Nino cried out when he saw the clownfishes and Ohno snorted, but allowed the younger man to drag him over to the tank. He watched Nino as he stared at the fish with a small grin and couldn’t help the smile, as he pulled him a little bit closer and put his arm around his waist. Everybody should know that Nino belonged to him because with that cuteness Ohno was sure that everybody would flirt with his husband if he was not careful.
Not that Nino would flirt back, but rather the opposite but he liked having him in his arms, especially since Nino tended to come closer and moulded his body against Ohno’s body. It was nice how perfect they fitted against each other.
“Having fun?”
“It’s not as bad as I feared,” Nino said and squeezed his hand on top of his waist for a second. It was surprisingly cool in the aquarium, but not too much that he would freeze. The atmosphere with all the blue and water and fishes somehow reminded him of Hawaii and that memory was a sweet one for him. It always brought a smile to his lips and he never had thought it possible to feel so happy with just a memory.
“Are you hungry?”
“A bit,” Nino agreed after a bit of thought. “Want to go have lunch?”
“Mhm…” Ohno murmured and dropped a kiss on the top of his head. “Let’s wander through that fish tunnel, watch the sharks at the end, and then we can go to the restaurant in the middle?”
Nino chuckled but agreed. Ohno loved the sharks after all even if he didn’t get the appeal that much. Ohno kept his arm around his waist as they wandered slowly through the tunnel filled with different kinds of colourful fishes that were so pretty. The sun broke through the water and the patterns it painted over the floor and them warmed him in a way Nino couldn’t explain.
Ohno stopped suddenly, taking his hands in his and Nino blinked in surprise. “We are alone,” Ohno hummed, chuckling when Nino’s eyes wandered from side to side to make sure Ohno was telling the truth. Ohno nuzzled his cheek, before taking his face in between his hands and close his lips over Nino’s mouth in a sweet kiss.
Nino almost sank against Ohno during that kiss and when they broke it he stepped back, meeting his eyes with an almost shy but very happy smile.
“Let’s go see your sharks, I need to be fed soon.”
“Can’t have you go hungry,” Ohno agreed with a snicker and led him forward. They had lunch in the small restaurant with very fresh and delicious fish dishes which was only slightly strange to enjoy in between all the fishes surrounding them and then walked further through the aquarium until Ohno tugged at Nino’s wrist with a grin.
“What?”
“I will now kidnap you.”
“Huh?”
“You’ll see,” Ohno said in a teasing way, leading him to the car and handing over a blindfold. Nino furrowed his brows but didn’t say anything as he allowed Ohno to put it on him.
Ohno felt his heart pound faster at the gesture of complete trust from Nino and pecked his lips a few times again after he made sure that the blindfold was properly on.
Nino breathed in and out carefully as he leant against the seat as Ohno started the car and put on calming music as he drove them through the setting sun. Nino knew it had gotten late and he had been looking forward to a proper dinner with his husband, but now he was slightly nervous about what Ohno had planned for them, but he knew it would be something good. He trusted Ohno with all he had.
Ohno looked over at Nino, smiling when he saw that the other had finally calmed down fully again and then concentrated on bringing them to where he had in mind.
-
Ohno stopped the car and checked his phone once more to make sure that everything was in order. He stepped out of the car and rounded the car with fas steps since he knew that Nino was nervous as to have lost one of his senses. And Nino trusted his eyes so much, Ohno knew it was extra hard on him.
He opened the door, chuckling when Nino jumped slightly. “It’s just me. Careful I will take off the belt.”
“Uhn.”
“Give me your hands, careful here as to not hit your head,” Ohno reminded him but put one hand right above Nino’s head to make sure that it was safe for Nino and then held him close as he led him forward in careful steps.
“Where are we?”
“A surprise. You’ll like it,” Ohno promised. Nino wrinkled his nose but then huffed slightly as he allowed Ohno to pull him close for another kiss. “You’re adorable.”
“Stupid,” Nino said and Ohno smirked as the other couldn’t hide his blush. Ohno finally stepped inside a building and took off the blindfold before taking his hands again. Nino blinked as he got used to the low lighting.
“What?” Nino said, jumping when he he was met with the faces of their friends and family.
There was a banner congratulating them for their wedding and new home. Ohno chuckled as he kissed him on the temple. Nino’s eyes were wide as he took in the big wallpapers that depicted Hawaii beaches, fake palm trees and flowers. Nino giggled when Ohno put a flower necklace around him and led him to the middle of the others to do a small celebration.
“Would you like to exchange vows?” Jun asked curiously and Nino wanted to disagree because that was embarrassing and they haven’t even done it for their real marriage, but then he felt his mother pushing his back slightly and Ohno’s curious face. He nervously squeezed Ohno’s hand, happy that Ohno has not let gone for more than allowing others to hug them and met Ohno’s fond look as he agreed almost inaudibly.
“Yay!” Aiba cheered and Nino blushed when the cheer went around the other people around them, making him hide against Ohno’s shoulder.
“Are you sure?” Ohno asked and Nino hummed in agreement, smiling as he listened to the fastened heartbeat of Ohno and detected the slight nervousness in his voice.
Right between them, Nino was normally better with words than Ohno so he had a small advantage here if he was not so damn awkward and nervous around others. He knew his mother’s small push meant for him to be brave and make sure to show everybody here that he was serious. After all, his mother knew best that he still feared that people didn’t believe him but that was just a very small consolidation.
“Okay ready!” Sho said and Nino took a step back. He looked confusedly at Sho who was brandishing a camera. He tried very hard not to blush worse than he already was but he knew he already lost as Ohno cupped his cheek and caressed the soft part under his eye with his thumb, before wandering over his lips. He let his hand fall, catching both of Nino’s in between his now and Nino couldn’t help the smile as their eyes met. This was Ohno. The rest didn’t matter to him, he decided and cleared his throat.
“I go first,” he said, glaring playfully at Ohno when he opened his mouth to beat him. Ohno giggled slightly and then closed his lips, staring at him, and Nino felt warm all over once again at the fond look. How could Ohno look so lovingly at him? He just couldn’t get over it. And he knew he never would.
“Oh-chan… no, Satoshi,” he started, clearing his throat again, and licking his suddenly very dry lips as silence fell around them. All whispers and chuckling seem to have gone. Nino felt eyes on him, but all that mattered were Ohno’s eyes holding his gaze.
“Thank you for always putting up with me. I know I am not easy. I can’t even tell how scared I was when I took you to that office, even if I didn’t want to show it. I am insecure, I always will be. I don’t like being around people, I like hiding away and I need time to myself to load my batteries so to say because I find being around people tiring. You all know that and accept it and even more, you love me still. It is hard to believe. You love me with all my flaws and make them seem not as such. I have no great words of love declarations I am ready to share with the world, but I want you to know one thing. When I am being with you it doesn’t feel tiring. You are one of the only people I know where I feel like I can rest and load my batteries while being around you. I never thought I would find someone like that and I don’t want you to ever leave me. Thank you for being you.”
“You,” Ohno growled and pulled him close to kiss him. Nino laughed and squealed as he pushed him away a bit.
“Your turn, no kisses before that,” he scolded with a click of his tongue and giggled when Ohno pouted for a second.
“My love, you are so unfair sometimes, you tell me the sweetest things when I am unable to react right away,” he whispered. “I will share my life with yours forever, I will trust you with everything I have, I will protect you forever, I will love you as much as you deserve which is a lot even if you don’t believe it. I am looking forward to sharing my life with yours in a way we both enjoy and how we feel is right, no need for how other people think it has to be,” he said, bringing a giggle from Nino forward as he clearly saw Ohno’s warning glances to their friends.
“You may kiss the husband now,” Nino allowed with a grin and with a small cry of joy Ohno moved forwards to plant a big kiss on Nino’s lips successfully hiding both of their teary eyes as an even louder cheer went up around them.
