Kazu held Kouhei close to him as he fed the little boy and watched Miharu and Kouhei throwing things into a big box. He tried hard not to flinch every time they threw a toy inside it, and it made an awful breaking noise. He was very sure that the games inside would be broken by the time they finished even if he knew that their toys were meant to withstand such handling.
“Please be careful, you two,” he said for the umpteenth time. He couldn’t remember how often he had muttered these words already, and still, it didn’t seem to be enough. “You scare Kouhei if you are so loud,” he tried when they threw another toy car in the box that landed on something metallic. The two stopped what they were doing and ran over to their father and brother.
“Kou no scary,” Akito said as he patted the head of the little boy, who blinked slowly as he sucked at the bottle in his mouth. A milky grin appeared on his face as he recognised his siblings. He babbled something moving in Kazu’s arms who tried not to let him fall accidentally.
“Mi sorry,” Miharu said with a sad frown on her face, and Kazu sighed. He knew that the children just wanted to help them. It had started when they watched their fathers packing clothes into boxes and moving them to one side of their living room. They were excited about moving to Ohno’s old family home.
Ohno had taken all of them there once, and Akito and Miharu had been excited when they had seen that there was a garden. There was even a climbing frame with a slide and a swing built there. The family that had rented the house from Ohno had made it when their children were young, and Ohno had been happy enough to buy it from them for a small amount of money.
“No, it’s okay. You both are a great help. But just try to place it in the box a bit more carefully?” Kazu said as he stroke her hair. He knew that Kouhei didn’t even mind his siblings being loud, but he did. He was getting a headache from all of it. He looked down at the wriggling baby boy in his arms who now wanted to play with the other two and decided that he had probably already drank enough as it was. He moved him in his arms, rubbing his back to help him get the air out of his tummy and then placed him on the floor.
“Play with your brother, okay?”
“Yes!” the two shouted as they readily and happily settled down with Kouhei and some toys they hadn’t yet thrown into the moving box. Kazu smiled as they rolled a ball between them and stood to search for his lover.
He found him in the bedroom, folding clothes to put them in the box beside him. He smiled softly when he saw Kazu and opened his arms for the small demon. “Hey.”
“Hey, do you need help?”
“Mhm… No, not right now. The guys will come soon to pick up the children.”
“Oh, yes. I totally forgot. Where will they go?” Kazu asked, biting his lower lip. Ohno chuckled when he saw the worried lines on his forehead and moved forward to kiss him on the forehead.
“The playground down the street and they wanted to treat them to ice-cream. Akito and Miharu at least. I don’t know if Kouhei would eat ice-cream.”
“Maybe a spoonful or two. Will they be fine with the kids?”
“I think so,” Ohno said with a smile. “Aiba-chan has a niece after all. And they are good kids.”
Kazu grimaced slightly. He knew that he was overprotective and he knew that he could trust the other two, but it was hard to let his three little children leave with others. Especially if they would leave the safety of their home and go somewhere he couldn’t just check up on them. But he knew that he needed to learn to trust others and let go of them. They needed to visit kindergarten if he wanted them to have a more or less normal life and find friends their age. Even if that also meant that Miharu and Akito needed to hide their not-human sides.
“I haven’t told them that their uncles are going to pick them up.”
“I know.”
“I should tell them.”
“Maybe. But you can also decide to go with them, you know?”
“You will need help here,” Kazu said with a sigh.
“Yes, but I’m sure either Jun or Aiba would be fine with staying here with me if that meant you feel more comfortable, kitten.”
Kazu smiled and stood on his tiptoes to press a soft kiss to his lips. “I love you,” he whispered and closed his eyes for a moment, before deciding that he would let the others go. It was the first time in months that he would have Ohno for himself.
-
Kazu knelt in front of the children, looking them into the eyes. “You both listen to your uncles, understand?”
“Yes, papa,” they said in unison. Kazu nodded as he kissed their foreheads.
“If I hear any complaints from them, I won’t be happy,” he said, watching them as strictly as he managed. The two children watched their father with big eyes as they nodded. Ohno bit his lower lip as to not chuckle at that charming sight.
Aiba grinned as he ruffled the hair of Akito and Miharu. “We’ll be fine, right?” he asked them. They looked up and nodded happily.
“Yes!”
Kazu sighed as he hugged them and made sure they were wearing their coats properly, before getting up and looking at Jun and then Aiba. “And you, don’t let anything harm them.”
“Jeez, relax. We are going to the playground. There is nothing evil there,” Jun groaned. “And yes, of course, we’ll be careful that they don’t hurt themselves. We are not incapable.”
Kazu frowned as Ohno’s arms came around his hips to draw him closer to his body. “They’ll be fine,” he whispered in his ear. “Relax, kitten you are scaring our children.”
Kazu looked down at them, biting his lips in guilt as he saw the worry in their eyes. “Okay, have fun then. And, little imp, no changing,” he said, bopping the bulb of his nose. He smiled when Akito giggled while nodding and holding his nose.
“Yes, papa. Bye-bi daddy.”
“Bye-bi,” Ohno said with a smile as he waved at them, with one arm around Kazu’s waist, stroking the skin that peaked out above his waist calmingly.
Kazu watched the five go with a sigh and leant against Ohno. “Sorry.”
“Don’t be. With everything that happened, I’m not surprised. But your brother has the demons under control, right?”
“Yes,” Kazu nodded. They had met a few times, and Kazu had officially laid the reign into Ren’s hand while making sure all demons knew he was acting on his behalf and after his will. They met regularly, and Ren was a good uncle for the children, helping Akito coming to understand his demonic side better than Kazu probably ever could.
“So back to packing these boxes?” Ohno asked with a groan. “We need to do the kitchen. I don’t trust packing the dishes or knives with the children around.”
Kazu frowned at the thought of packing even more boxes. It seemed like they did nothing else. Okay, to be honest, they hadn’t had much time to do that either because it was hard to go to work, care for children and pack their life into boxes to get ready for the move, while also making sure that they had everything they needed in their new home.
Nights would be perfect for packing them, but they were mostly too tired.
“What’s up? Why are you sulking?”
“I’m not,” Kazu denied. Ohno chuckled as he kissed the pouty lips and then his cheek.
Kazu sighed and snuggled a bit closer. He rubbed his nose at his cheek, breathing in deeply. “You smell good,” he mumbled, coming even closer and hugging him more tightly.
“Kitten,” Ohno whispered a bit suffering. “We can’t do anything.”
“We can, the kids are not here for at least two hours,” Kazu mumbled looking up at him with glowing eyes.
Ohno groaned as he held him closer to himself and kissed him more deeply. “But packing.”
“Close the curtains, and I can do it with a flick of my wrist,” Kazu offered with a small smirk on his face. Ohno rolled his eyes as he stroke his cheek. They had agreed to do it without magic, but who was he to deny his little demon his wish?
“Okay,” he agreed.
Kazu cheered as he tugged him closer and pressed his lips against Ohno’s for a deep kiss.

“What’s that?” Kazu asked curiously when Sho handed him over a few papers.
“It’s yours,” Sho said as he watched the children run around after each other with Kouhei in his cot sleeping peacefully.
“Huh?” Kazu made as he opened the papers and looking them over. He frowned as he saw that they were IDs that made up a life that he didn’t have.
“Satoshi-kun asked me to get them. Because you will need them to be able to stay on Earth. If you want to enrol the children to daycare or present them to doctors or get them into a school, they might ask for them. If you are stopped on the streets you might be asked for them,” Sho explained.
“Huh, I see?” Kazu said as he read over certificates that made up his high school diploma. Something that he didn’t have. He looked up at the angel. “What is that about?”
“If you want to further your studies or find a paying job,” Sho said with a smile as he ruffled his hair. “Kazu, just accept them. It was not easy to get them. We might have broken a few laws, but our realms decided that we wanted to gift this to you. You made sure that the war was over and wouldn’t start anew. If you want to live here a more or less normal life, we agreed to make it somehow possible. I borrowed everything from Satoshi-kun to check what a human would need here on Earth and what papers or diplomas they usually own and then we did them.”
“I don’t have his name. The children don’t have his last name. Why?”
“Because marriage between men doesn’t exist in Japan,” he sighed as he pulled at his hair. “I thought about forging certificates from another country, but since you never officially immigrated here it would be too complicated. And they are your children. You carried them for months.”
“They are Satoshi-kun’s children as well,” Kazu said with a frown.
“Yes, and he will adopt them officially. I talked with them. Please, Kazu don’t think he doesn’t want them.”
“I know he loves them,” Kazu said with a sigh. “I’m just unhappy. Nobody would believe they are ours.”
“They are to the people who count,” Sho said as he leant back. “What about the move?”
“It’s the weekend. You are going to come help, right?”
“Yes, I promised, is your brother coming?”
“Yes, Ren will come. Jun and Aiba will watch the children so we can move.”
“I would say Matsumoto-kun and Aiba-kun would be strong enough to carry the boxes,” Sho said with a pout. Kazu giggled clear and bright.
“True, but it’s different for us.”
Sho nodded with a sigh. That was true.
“Do you want to stay for dinner?” Kazu asked suddenly as he put the papers away and with the other official documents Ohno had in a binder.
“What will it be?”
Kazu shrugged as he looked at the children who were still playing catch. A small smirk appeared on his face as he came closer and caught a shrieking Miharu around the waist. He tickled her before picking up Akito as well who tackled him. “What do you two troublemaker want for dinner?”
“Oyakodon,” Miharu cried in between giggles.
Kazu looked at Akito, who nodded in agreement. “Good, then that’s what it will be,” he said, looking at Sho who nodded.
“Sounds good, need any help?”
“Please no, you are horrible in the kitchen. Keep the kids company and call me if Kouhei wakes up, while I start on dinner. You two need to clean up a bit before daddy comes home though?” he then said to the children who nodded even if they were pouting slightly.
Dinner was a calm affair, and soon enough Sho was on his way home while they put the children to bed.
